NEW YORK - A man has been taken into custody by the NYPD after scaling the New York Times building in Manhattan.

Footage shows the individual, dressed in black, perched on the side of the building, which is located near the Port Authority Bus Terminal on 41st Street and 8th Avenue in Midtown.

According to police, the man managed to make it up to the 6th floor of the building before he was arrested.
“Only in New York is this even possible,” an onlooker said in a video posted by Ebonie Johnson Cooper.

Multiple daredevils have attempted to scale the skyscraper before. In 2008, two men managed to scale the building, reaching its roof, while in 2012, a homeless man managed to make it to the building's 5th floor before he was arrested. Last summer, protesters with the group Extinction Rebellion also managed to scale part of the building to hang banners protesting climate change.
