American Airlines announced a one-time $1,000 corporate match for eligible employees’ children enrolled in the federal Trump Accounts program, joining a wave of employers supplementing the government’s $1,000 seed deposit for young Americans.

On Monday, CNBC reported that American Airlines — the largest airline in the world by passenger count and daily flights — will provide matching funds for thousands of its employees’ qualifying children.

“At American Airlines, our purpose is to care for people on life’s journey, and that includes helping our team members build a strong financial future for themselves and their families,” CEO Robert Isom said in a written statement to CNBC.

Currently, roughly 1.4 million children enrolled in Trump Accounts are eligible for $1,000 in Treasury seed funds, according to recently released data.
