In a letter sent on Thursday, House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan threatened to hold Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis in contempt of Congress if additional documents aren’t produced in relation to an investigation into the misuse of federal funds by her office.

Jordan wrote, "We appreciate that you have produced a narrow set of documents in response to the subpoena," issued on February 2, "but your compliance with the subpoena to date is deficient." Jordan stated that Willis has failed to produce documentation and communications related to the allegations of misuse of federal funds by the office, communications with the Justice Department, documents that "fall within the scope of the subpoena," communications between office staff on the receipt of federal grants, in addition to other categories that still lacked the production of documentation.
