Wild video captured the moment brave Frontier Airlines passengers and crew detained a deranged passenger who tried to pry open exit doors and break into the pilot’s cabin during a harrowing mid-flight rampage — forcing the flight to be diverted to Miami, according to authorities and reports.

Frontier Airlines Flight 3345 departed from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and was headed to Chicago O’Hare International Airport on Sunday when a “passenger disturbance” was reported by crew members, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement.

Flight attendants and other passengers on the plane reported spotting a crazed man trying to open the exit doors, claiming he wanted to get off the plane, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office told CBS News.
