Tesla has revealed a new sports car with Elon Musk boldly declaring that 'flying cars are real'. The next-generation Roadster was unveiled at a Texas testing facility owned by SpaceX, Musk's separate publicly listed company.
He offered customers a long-awaited glimpse of the electric vehicle manufacturer's latest flagship model, showcasing its remarkable 'ability to fly' as it soared over other parked Tesla vehicles.
The spectacular display saw the Roadster ascend a vast curved ramp before launching into the air, performing a flip, and touching down safely on the ground.
"Well, it worked," Tesla CEO Elon Musk declared following its successful landing. Lars Moravy, Tesla's Vice President of vehicle engineering, added: "Flying cars are real."
