JD Vance's home has been attacked with reports of windows being smashed as secret service swarm the area.

The US Vice President's Cincinnati property was damaged in the early hours of Monday morning. The police have said they have taken a person into custody.

Vance spent the day with Trump at his golf club in West Palm Beach to discuss the impending strikes on Venezuela and the operation to remove Nicolas Maduro.

But he didn't join the president and other top administration officials at Mar-a-Lago to watch it being carried out - due to fears it could give away the operation.

The vice president instead watched it unfold via secure video conference and then flew back to his home in Cincinnati after the operation concluded. His office said he was “deeply integrated in the process and planning.”
