Soliman Hijjy was rehired by the New York Times last week and has appeared in bylines nearly every day since Oct. 12, according to the New York Post. His most recent story was published on Thursday while reporting from Gaza.
"At a hospital in southern Gaza, a backup generator becomes a critical lifeline," he wrote in the piece, referring to a facility near the Ahli Arab hospital bombing, which was bombed by a Palestinian terror group but Israel was falsely blamed for the attack.
A spokesperson with NYT defended the paper's decision to rehire Hijjy in a statement to the Post.
