Firebrand Rep. Nancy Mace is “strongly” considering a bid for late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s now-vacant seat, two sources confirmed to The Post.
Mace (R-SC), who finished in fifth place in the South Carolina GOP gubernatorial primary last month, is keeping her options open and exploring the viability of a potential last-minute Senate campaign.Graham (R-SC) died suddenly Saturday evening after “a brief and sudden illness,” according to his office. He was up for reelection this year and was favored to win after prevailing in the GOP primary last month.
Due to losing her primary, Mace is set to depart the House next January. She still has some $185,000 cash on hand left in her federal campaign account, according to the latest Federal Election Commission filings.
