Just hours after a gunman attempted to assassinate Donald Trump, American comedy rock band Tenacious D took the stage for a concert in Sydney, Australia. During the event, lead guitarist and birthday boy Kyle Gass was asked to make a "wish," and proceeded to lament that the former president hadn't been killed.

"Don't miss Trump next time," Gass said, to which the audience responded with a mixture of laughter and shock. His comments were widely criticized on social media, with many suggesting his joke went too far.
