Toyota Motor will invest $912 million to renovate its manufacturing sites across five states including Tennessee.
The investment will allow increased hybrid vehicle production amid a “growing demand for the vehicle in the U.S.,” according to Toyota officials.
The plants include the company’s operations in Jackson, Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Missouri and West Virginia.
"Toyota's $912 million investment across five states demonstrates that President Trump's economic agenda is delivering real results for the American worker," White House Spokeswoman Victoria LaCivita said in a statement. "By implementing pro-growth policies and signing fair trade deals, President Trump is securing massive investments in our communities that create good-paying jobs for hardworking families."
