A Republican backed by President Donald Trump won a special runoff election in Georgia for former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s seat.

Clay Fuller took a commanding lead over his opponent, Shawn Harris, winning 55.9 percent of the vote and adding to the Republican Party’s narrow lead in the House.

Fuller, who serves as the district attorney for the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit, will serve out the remainder of Greene’s term. Greene resigned from her post in Congress earlier this year after a public fallout with Trump.
“They couldn’t beat Donald Trump and they never will,” Fuller told supporters in Ringgold, near the border with Tennessee. “And I will be on Capitol Hill as a warrior to have his back each and every day.”
