DC Fire and EMS K-9 Recovering After Impaling Paw

(Fox) A DC Fire and EMS K-9 named Kylie is recovering after she impaled her paw on some metal while on a search near the George Washington Parkway on Tuesday. Kylies partner DC Fire and EMS Sgt. Gene Ryan said he was afraid the K-9 would bleed out before he could get her to a veterinarian but thanks to an incredible rescue shes in a cast and back on her feet. Kylie and Ryan were working with law enforcement along the GW Parkway near Reagan National Airport Tuesday when Kylie stepped on a piece of metal during a search.
